Common Information
For All Workshops

Timings
09:00 to 9:55 - Meet Up
I will be at Cafe 78 testing the tea (and perhaps a bacon roll!).
Feel free to join me and ask your questions.

09:55 to 10:00 - Be ready to start
Please be ready to start your workshop on time at 10:00 as the first thing covered is the Health & Safety brief. If people arrive late, the Safety brief will have to be given again. This wastes workshop time and is not fair on the people who made sure they were ready to start on time.

10:00 to 13:00 - Workshops
Depending on fast we move during the workshop, we may finish slightly later than 13:00.

13:00 to 14:00 - Workshop Q&A .
This is not compulsory but I will be available to answer any questions about the workshop or photography in general.

14:00 to 16:00 - Meet & Ask Session.
I will be at Cafe 78 for a further 2 hours to answer questions about the artwork on display.

Location
The workshops start and finish at Cafe 78 at the top end of the High Street, Andover.

Facilities
At all times during the workshop, we shall be no more than 5 minutes walk from all the normal facilities located in town.

Equipment
You just need your camera or mobile phone fully charged, with the memory storage having enough space for at least 300 photographs.
If you have more than one lens, please choose your general purpose lens.
If you have lots of camera kit, just bring the basic camera and lens.

Although we will always be close to facilities in town, please bring a bottle of water for your workshop, a full bottle not half drunk.
I always carry a second bottle that is only used in emergencies.

Clothing suitable for the weather excepted on the day. Which lately it seems it could be anything!

You may wish to bring some money as we will be starting and ending at Cafe 78, who take both cash and card payments.

Access
All workshops are access friendly but you may be asked to take a very slight, short alternative route in places, to bypass a step. You will not miss out on viewing all the features we shall be visiting.
Carers and guardians may attend for free, if they are not using their camera/phone camera, when they will be charged half the fee.

Under 16 Year Olds
Those under 16 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or a guardian who is aged over 18 years of age.
Guardians may attend for free, if they are not using their camera/phone camera, when they will be charged half the fee.

Wellness
I would ask that for the duration of your workshop you turn your mobile phone 'OFF'. If you are using your mobile phone camera for the workshop, please turn off all notifications; alarms; phone calls etc; with the volume set to off.

Besides being a distraction, others members on the workshop may wish to escape from technology. Switch off the outside world and immerse yourself in your photography and get the most from your workshop and let others do the same please .... it is only for a couple of hours.

If you are unsure how to disable certain settings, phone instruction manuals are normally free to view/download with a quick web search.

Follow Up Sessions
Saturday, August 30th & Sunday 31st - Timings tbc.
You will be offered a chance to join a free Follow Up Session to ask any questions you have about your workshop or your photography.
The timings will be confirmed on your workshop.

Fee
The fee for each workshop has been reduced for Hampshire Open Studios from £37 to £19.
For carers and guardians there is no fee unless they are using their camera or phone camera when the fee will be £9.50.

Fee's are to be paid by bank transfer and cleared prior to your workshop taking place.
Cash can be accepted on the morning of your workshop, if you have previously booked your place and have received confirmation of your booking.
Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the start of your workshop to allow payment time.

If the workshop is cancelled you will be refunded your money in full.
